Nicki and Lewis – Whitsand Bay Wedding: A beautiful location for Nicki and Lewis’s wedding. This romantic spot on the south cornish coast at Polhawn Fort – Whitsand bay is Perched on the edge of the cornish coastline. It has splendid views out to sea, the historic grade II listed Napoleonic fort is a very special place. Polhawn Fort is something else entirely. A real Napoleonic fort. Complete with cannon, drawbridge and walls eight feet thick, it was built to discourage Napoleon III from even thinking of invading us, a truly amazing setting.
After a morning cycling through the hills at Whitsand bay, Lewis and has friends headed back to their rooms for a well earned rest. In the meantime, in Nicki’s room, an orderly process of getting ready had began.
Nicki’s father, dressed in his military uniform proudly walked the bride down the isle where Lewis waited, dressed in his Policeman’s No.1 dress. After the ceremony, the bride, groom and guests headed outdoors to the forts gardens to take in the views out to sea and share in a glass or two of bubbly.
